Hair Loss Spray

The science
behind our treatments

Hundreds of studies have been made on hair loss treatments, but the only two treatments that have been clinically proven are Oral Tablets and Minoxidil.

Sons is the Irish Licence holder for both.

1. Combined Treatment with oral tablet and topical minoxidil in male androgenetic alopecia: a randomised and comparative study – National Library of Medicine (2015)

2. Use of Oral Tablet in the treatment of men with Androgenetic Alopecia – Journal of the Academy of Dermatology (1998)

3. A one-year observational study with minoxidil 5% solution - Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology(2004)

Is this plan right for me?

Topical solutions can have a different effect on the body with potentially less side effects and better tolerability, making Sons' Topical Hair Loss spray a great alternative to our Hair Loss Tablet and Oral Capsule.

Like with our Combination Spray and Minoxidil Spray, it comes in a bottle with a unique nozzle applicator, that makes it easier to get the serum to your scalp and the root of the cause.

And at 0.15% strength, it has a slightly higher percentage than our Combination Spray which may increase efficacy without any additional side effects.

This product contains an unlicensed medicine.

Usage

Apply 4 pumps to your scalp once-a-day. Your hair and scalp must be dry when applying the spray. Spread the solution across the treatment area using your fingertips, then wash your hands. We recommend allowing the solution to dry before applying and hair styling products such as hair gel, wax or mousse.

FAQs

How does it work?

Once applied, the active ingredient reduces the levels of the DHT hormone that has attached itself to your hair follicles. By lowering the levels of DHT in your hair, your hair follicles are able to regrow.

How long does it take to work?

Results with hair loss treatments may take around 3 months to become visible and a further 9 months to reach their peak.

It is important to note that some men will experience initial shedding when they first start using hair loss treatment, and whilst this can be concerning, this is actually a sign that the medication is working. The ingredients in this spray work to improve blood flow to the scalp which can trigger your old hair to shed, but this should be replaced with stronger, healthier hair after 9-12 months of consistent use.

Why hair loss
happens

Androgenic alopecia (often referred to as male pattern hair loss) is a condition that impacts men with a genetic sensitivity to the hormone DHT. Over time, DHT damages hair follicles, disrupting the hair growth cycle and eventually leading to hair loss.
