Applying our Minoxidil treatment is easy - simply use 1ml of the solution on areas of the scalp that are showing signs of thinning and/or recession (normally around the temples or crown). It’s also crucial to ensure that the areas of your scalp are dry before application. This solution should be applied twice a day - preferably once in the morning and evening
Our monthly Minoxidil subscription package includes:
60ml of 5% Minoxidil topical solution.
Whilst Minoxidil begins working immediately, results take around 3 months to become visible and a further 9 months to reach their peak.
It’s important to note that some men will experience initial shedding when they first start using this solution, and whilst this can be concerning, this is actually a sign that the medication is working. Minoxidil improves blood flow to the scalp which can trigger your old hair to shed, but this should be replaced with stronger, healthier hair after 9-12 months of consistent use.
You should use this treatment if you want a scientifically-backed solution to treat mild to moderate hair loss. Minoxidil is one of only two medications that is approved by the FDA as being effective at treating male pattern hair loss.
Minoxidil 5% cutaneous solution is a medicine for topical application to the scalp that stimulates hair growth in men aged 18-65 years with male-pattern hair loss (androgetic alopecia) when applied to the skin. For more information please refer to the patient information leaflet.
There are limited side effects with minoxidil but some patients may experience mild scalp irritation. If you experience any side effects you should stop taking the medication. A complete list of side effects can be found in the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) enclosed with your medication, which you should always read before taking it for the first time. Please report any adverse events to Yellowcard. For more information please refer to the patient information leaflet.
It takes some time for changes to become visible. Some men will shed more fine hairs than normal, but this is only temporary.
Hair loss may have considerably slowed or stopped completely. Some people see signs of regrowth, primarily at the crown of the head.
As the medication continues to work, miniaturised hairs will be replaced by thicker healthier hairs which leads to a gradual improvement in hair density over time .
