We’re thrilled to share some big news: Sons is now a Certified B Corporation!
But what is a B Corp, why does it matter, and why are we so excited about becoming one? In short, it’s about running a business responsibly, for the benefit of our team, customers, investors, and the planet.
Earning B Corp status means more than adding another logo to our website. It represents a promise to uphold some of the toughest standards when it comes to social and environmental impact, accountability, and transparency.
We’re thrilled to join in on the B Corp mission to transform the traditional role of businesses in the global economy. Instead of focusing solely on profits, B Corps aim to ensure that companies prioritize the planet, their employees, and their communities alongside financial success. B Corp aim to make this the norm for businesses in the next 10 years. It’s a bold target, but we’re proud to play our part in bringing it one step closer to reality.
After months of careful assessment (and a fair bit of paperwork), we’re proud to join thousands of other companies (like Ben and Jerry’s and Patagonia for example) around the world that are using business as a force for good.
Since launching in 2019, Sons has helped men take control of their health and hair loss. But from the beginning, we’ve known that how we work is just as important as what we offer. Selling products isn’t enough – we also need to consider the wider impact we have on our community, our partners, and the environment.
That’s why becoming a B Corp feels so meaningful. It shows that we’re heading in the right direction, while reminding us there’s always more we can do. Certification isn’t a final achievement; it’s a commitment to keep raising the bar.
Becoming a B Corp is no walk in the park (and rightly so). The assessment dives into every corner of a business, from packaging choices to employee wellbeing, to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Here are a few things we’re already doing:
Certification is a huge milestone, but it’s also the beginning of the next phase of our journey. We’ll continue to set ambitious sustainability targets, support causes we care about and look for new ways to keep growing responsibly.
We’re thrilled to join the global B Corp community, known as the ‘B-Hive’, and to stand alongside other businesses redefining what it means to succeed.
To keep up with our progress, follow us on LinkedIn, where we’ll share updates on the steps we’re taking to keep improving.
Here’s to building a future that’s better for people, better for business, and better for the planet.
